Night Riding & Flare Run in Thredbo
One of Thredbo’s finest traditions
Take advantage of your Thredbo accommodation by immersing yourself in the atmosphere and events. Soak in the magical lights of Thredbo’s flare run, winding down the Supertrail on Saturday nights. Similarly, enjoy the fireworks display too. A surefire way to kick-start your night as the lights twinkle over the mountain and village.
For over 30 years visitors to Thredbo have enjoyed the weekly fireworks and flare run display. Similarly, in 2007, 1,269 skiers and snowboarders took part in a flare run to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Thredbo landslide – smashing the Australian record for the biggest flare run.
A crowd favourite, it is a stunning sight not to be missed as skiers and boarders snake their way down the Supertrail with flaming flares. If you are an advanced rider, you can join in and be part of the spectacle by signing up on the day at the Valley Terminal lift pass office on Saturday afternoon.
