December

Christmas Eve Carols

24th December

Join us at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel on the 24th of December for the free annual Christmas Eve Carols.

From 6pm Thredbo will be filled with the sound of Christmas carols as the local community turns out for Christmas songs and cheer. Pick up a carol book by gold coin donation (all proceeds go to the Thredbo Early Childhood Centre). Keep a lookout for Santa Claus, he will be dropping by during the evening with presents to say hi!

To top it all off the outdoor heated spas, bar and a delicious fundraiser BBQ will also be open.
Now that’s what we call a Christmas celebration!

New Year’s Eve Concert

31st December – 1st January

The famous Thredbo New Year’s Party is a great way to welcome 2020! Thredbo will be the place to be with a big party and entertainment for all ages. The kids will warm up the Thredbo Alpine Hotel from 5pm with a kids show and dance, the music will be pumping and the glow sticks will be out. Then from 9pm 19-twenty will be pumping the tunes until 12.30am!

Thredbo Blues Festival

17th – 19th January

The Thredbo Blues Festival is bursting with talent in 2020 for its 26th year with another amazing program of exceptional Australian and International blues players getting up close and personal in a music festival like no other. With intimate bars and restaurants, spectacular outdoor venues and the whole of Thredbo Village given over to the blues, Thredbo sets the stage for an atmosphere that musicians and blues fans love.

Over 20 amazing Australian and International Blues artists are taking over Thredbo for 3 huge days and nights of non-stop blues and good times with close to 60 performances!

Australia Day

26th January 2020

Thredbo is inviting Aussies to celebrate Australia Day at the highest point in Australia, on top of Mt Kosciuszko 2228m.
Perfect for the family or a long weekend away with mates, Thredbo will be taking Australia Day festivities to new heights celebrating with an exciting line up of iconic Aussie entertainment and activities, offering an unforgettable Australia Day!

Kosciuszko Craft Beer Festival

7th – 8th February 2020

Craft Beer – noun – a beer made in a traditional or non-mechanised way by a small brewery.

Do you like beer? Do you want to know what is tops in hops and best in brewing?

Celebrate the art of craft beer brewing on the 7-8th of February at the Kosciuszko Craft Beer Festival in Thredbo. Held Poolside at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel in the heart of the picturesque Snowy Mountains, this festival is your ticket to the latest and greatest in craft beer brewing.

Taste of the Snowies: Thredbo Food & Wine Festival

6th – 8th March 2020

Head to the mountain this March as fine food, wine and a mix of curated culinary events and activities take place in Thredbo Village for the Taste of the Snowies Food and Wine Festival.

Australian Mountain Biking Interschools

18th – 22nd March 2020

The 2020 Australian MTB Interschools gives school students that special chance to experience mountain biking and the enthusiasm and energy of this rapidly growing sport in a competitive, educational and supportive atmosphere. The primary aim is to promote participation and evoke interest in competitive biking in the younger generation. Over the four days we will see the future stars of the sport battle it out over an array of disciplines including Cross Country, Downhill, Flow, Pump Track & an exciting XC Team Relay.
